You should realize that DUI and other small criminal cases against average Americans are more difficult than ever since the government depends on the moneys generated to run the criminal justice system. The government officers (DA, public defender, and judge) believe that most of the time you are guilty of something. Because they dropped the alcohol limit across the whole country to .08% or more BAC (blood alcohol content - or by breath test), more people are being arrested for DUI than ever at a rate of about 1 in every 135 people - the California Highway Patrol reports they arrest 500 people a day for DUI across California.
