OUT OF STATE DRIVERS, You don't have a privilege to drive in CA after arrest!
A California DUI cop immediately suspends the privilege to drive in California of anyone arrested for DUI in California. Unless you have a license issued by the State of California, you are to stop driving in California - even though this is rarely enforced.
A person with a California drivers license can drive on a temporary license issued by the officer upon the taking of that person's California drivers license, for 30 days.
Additionally, you will have to address your California DUI arrest in your own state if you are convicted in the California court - California DUI courts report to your state licensing agency.
